You have to choose one flavor that your sense of taste will no longer be able to distinguish. Sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami, spicy (not a taste per se, but we’re generous): which one do you choose to lose?
Taste is one of the senses that revolves around me. Not because I am a foodie but its the one thing that makes food feel like something better. Taste is that one factor which makes food feel like more refined.
The taste buds are our only friend who helps to distinguish food between awesome and stale. For example, the buds helps to know the difference between the juicy and ripe mango pulp and its hard and tough sour kind tasting exterior seed.
Personally, if anyone asks me which one of those I would chose to lose then the answer is painstakingly simple. Its the flavor of bland, the sense of taste which waters-down, umm…flavorless is the right word. I know this isn’t a sense of taste but technically it is. Because every kind of taste buds matter to me as they helps to distinguish one from another!
Because as Oscar Wilde said, “I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.”
